Cook Allender Supports No-Kill Shelters, Including Wags & Walks

April 15, 2026 · Press release

Cook Allender is putting his music behind a cause close to his heart: helping animals find care and a second chance. In an announcement released April 15, the Nashville-based rock artist shared his commitment to supporting no-kill shelters, including Wags & Walks.

The mission grew from an experience at a veterinary hospital while his dog Max was awaiting surgery. Watching another owner face an $8,000 operation for his dog stayed with Cook and inspired him to help organizations that provide medical treatment and find loving homes for animals.

Wags & Walks welcomed his support, emphasizing the importance of medical care, second chances, and spreading awareness of rescue.

The announcement arrived ahead of Cook’s debut album, Music Your Parents Hate, released May 15 through VibraHive Records and Symphonic Distribution. A portion of the project’s proceeds supports animal shelters and rescue organizations.
